Enable Rangatiratanga Charitable Trust (we, us) is committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store and protect your personal information. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most recent version shall always be available at enabletrust.org.nz.

We may collect personal information about you whenever you interact with us, including when you submit an application, communicate with us (electronically, in writing, or by telephone); or otherwise engage with us, including in person.

The personal information we collect may include your name, contact details, date of birth, demographic information, academic records, photographs or video images, financial information, identification documents or numbers, computer/network IP address, and
any other information necessary for the administration of our or as otherwise advised to you at the time of collection. Personal information will be collected directly from you. We may also collect personal information from any person or entity you authorise to provide such information, publicly available sources, automated means, including through the use of cookies or similar tracking technologies on website.

We collect, use, and otherwise process personal information for purposes connected to our providing scholarships, including assessing and processing your application for our scholarship, and if you are successful, the administration of it, communicating with you and responding to your enquiries or requests, any other purpose authorised by you or required or permitted by law.

If you do not provide the personal information we request, we may be unable process your application or provide you with a scholarship.

We may disclose your personal information to staff members or authorised personnel, third party service providers engaged to assist us in the provision of our services, professional advisers, other persons or entities with your explicit consent and any other parties authorised or required by law.

We shall take all reasonable technical and organisational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration, destruction, or disclosure of your Personal Information.

We shall retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, as set out in this Privacy Policy, or as required or permitted under applicable law.

You have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict your personal information. Requests should be made to the Privacy Officer. We shall respond to all requests within one calendar month unless otherwise permitted by law. If we refuse your request, we shall provide reasons for refusal and information about how you may make a complaint.

By providing us with your personal information, you consent to its collection, use, storage, and disclosure in accordance with this Privacy Policy, as amended from time to time.

If you have any concerns about the manner in which we have handled your personal information or complied with our obligations under the Privacy Act 2020 you may make a complaint to the Privacy Officer using the contact information on our website.
